Common questions

How do I start AirPlay?
  1. Connect your Mac and receiver to the same Wi-Fi network and enable AirPlay on the receiver.
  2. Open a website in AirWave and start a compatible video or audio track.
  3. Choose Video > AirPlay or press Command–Shift–A, then select an available receiver.

Apple TV and compatible TVs can receive video and audio. HomePod and AirPlay speakers receive audio. Availability depends on the website, media and receiver.

My receiver is missing or playback stays on my Mac.

Check that the receiver is awake, AirPlay is enabled, and both devices are on the same network. Confirm its AirPlay access settings allow your Mac. Start playback before opening the picker.

If the website’s player hides its controls, choose Video > Toggle Video Controls and try the player’s AirPlay button. Some streams restrict remote playback or use an unsupported format.

A website or video will not play.

Reload the page and check the service’s sign-in or subscription requirements. Try toggling native controls if they interfere with the website’s own player.

Protected playback from Netflix, Disney+, Hulu and Prime Video is not supported in AirWave. Recognized services offer Open in Safari. AirWave does not remove DRM or guarantee AirPlay for protected media.

Is Picture-in-Picture available?

Picture-in-Picture is not a supported launch feature in the current tested Mac build. AirWave focuses on AirPlay for compatible media, native playback controls and saved pages.

How do I save a page or reopen a closed tab?

Press Command–D to save the current page. Saved pages appear on the streaming homepage and in the bookmarks menu.

Press Command–Shift–T to reopen a recently closed tab during the current session. Recently closed tabs are not kept after quitting AirWave.

How do I clear cookies and website data?

Open AirWave Browser > Settings > Privacy, choose Clear Data, then confirm. This clears cookies, cache and site data and signs you out of websites.

Your bookmarks and preferences remain. To remove a saved bookmark, open the bookmarks menu and choose Manage Bookmarks. Read the privacy policy for details about local data and website requests.

What does AirWave cost?

AirWave is a one-time Mac App Store purchase: US $3.99 for the Foundation Special at launch, with a regular price of US $9.99. Regional prices may vary. AirWave has no subscription; streaming services may require separate subscriptions.
