Privacy Policy

Overview
AirWave Browser is a macOS browser designed for AirPlay streaming. We respect your privacy and are committed to keeping your data safe. This policy explains how AirWave Browser handles your information.
Data Collected by the Developer
The AirWave Browser app does not send browsing history, bookmarks, or preferences to the developer. It does not include developer-operated analytics, advertising, or telemetry services, and it does not require an AirWave account.
- Bookmarks and preferences are saved locally.
- Website requests go to the websites you visit and their service providers.
- Apple may process diagnostics according to your system settings and Apple's privacy practices.
Local Data Storage
AirWave Browser stores the following data locally on your Mac, within the app's sandboxed container:
- Bookmarks — saved in the AirWaveBrowser Application Support folder inside the app's container
- Preferences — stored via macOS UserDefaults
- Website data — cookies and cache managed by WebKit, stored locally
The app does not provide a bookmark or preference sync service. Saved preferences and bookmarks remain until you change or remove them. WebKit retains cookies, cache, and other website data until they expire or are cleared.
Deleting Local Data
To remove cookies, cache, and website data, open AirWave Browser → Settings → Privacy → Clear Data. This signs you out of websites. Remove saved bookmarks using the bookmark controls. Clearing website data does not remove bookmarks or preferences.
Deleting data from the browser does not delete information already held by a website. Contact that website or use its account controls to request deletion of its records. For help removing remaining local app data, contact the privacy address below.
Third-Party Websites
Browsing sends information such as your IP address, page requests, and applicable cookies to the websites you visit. Searches are sent to the search engine selected in Settings. Information you enter into a website, including account details, is handled by that website under its own privacy policy.
AirWave Browser uses WebKit to load pages and runs bundled scripts to adjust media controls. Website data is not sent to the developer. Third-party websites may use their own analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies; the app's privacy practices do not replace those websites' policies.
Third-Party Services
AirWave Browser does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services.
AirPlay
AirPlay uses Apple's built-in frameworks to send supported playback to the receiver you choose. The app checks playback state to display its controls, but does not record streamed content or send it to the developer. Playback may involve communication among your Mac, the selected receiver, and the content provider.
Children's Privacy
AirWave Browser is a general web browser and is not designed for children. It allows unrestricted web access. No AirWave account is required; third-party websites may request personal information under their own policies.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this privacy policy, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. No changes will reduce your privacy protections without notice.
